My unit is deployed, I am PCSing there. Will I get deployed late?

Okay so I am in airborne and am going to 10th Mountain. I guess some brigades are deployed right now in Afghanistan. I was just wondering if I were to get put into one of those brigades would I deploy late with them. They have only been there for a few months. If so, would I be able to go home and say goodbye to my wife and family before I leave for theater? If I don't get deployed right when I get there how can i get my 10 day leave to move my wife up there to Ft. Drum? Any help would be appreciated.
