Would the end of the world as we know happen if this happened?

I am going to pick around in your question. It would be quiet and I think that would make people freak out. Certainly there would be looting because people would not know where their next meal would come from and if the water works were still working. It would not be the end for me but a new beginning to a new way of life and I know how to build an open fire. Was this the vision you spoke about, ohh nightmares.
